OKPODO IS READY FOR IJENOKE 2023.

Chief CJ Mbanefo will be leading Okpodo squad in the 2023/24 Ijenoke opener against Umuawunu on Sunday, 1st October 2023.

Super Ijele Okpodo was the first man to score #1,000,000 goals in the history of Ijenoke Ogene Ivite Aguleri which placed Okpodo on second position in 2023.

CJ Mbanefo's Okpodo team will likely parade a lot of new Ijeles who were singed recently by the Head coach, Mr Amechi Ekwenye.

Apart from Mbanefo, a source told OMT reporters that Okpodo team will be parading more than 4 super Ijeles on October 1st in their campaign for Ivite Aguleri supremacy.

Just yesterday, the village had a serious meeting in which Mr Amechi Ekwenye compiled the names of all the participants in the previous Ijenoke competitions and presented before the elders and youths of the community. The meeting resolved that henceforth, any adult who shys away from Ijenoke crowd funding competition and other community services will no longer be eligible to receive any benefit from the village.

The elders commended the effort of CJ Mbanefo who is making efforts to ensure that the name of the village is not relegated in Ivite Aguleri and urged other well to do indigenes to support him.

Okpodo will be having her first opening match in their village square on 1st October 2023. They are also using this medium to invite friends and well wishers to the opening ceremony of Ivite Aguleri annual event.
