Aguowulu progressive Association has rewarded two elderly persons who helped them at their formation stage: Mrs Onuegbune Nnechi and Uche Itemba with the sum of N500,000 and N300,000 respectively.
The gesture is one that is commendable, it is the background story of their humble beginnings that got people touched.
According to the Public relations officer of the club, Mr Peter Anetionwu, they were between the age of 18-20 when, the Association was formed at the house of the elderly woman, Mrs Onuegbune Nnechi. He Said they had no fund to buy ordinary drinks to host themselves and the woman gave them access to all rooms in her house including her kitchen and pot.
"Mrs Nnechi and Uche Itemba were always there for us. They encouraged us and gave us drinks for free. They were doing those things from their small business without bothering for any gain."

The gestures was carried out at the club's end of the year party in which they also introduced Anambra State Health Insurance Agency ( ASHIA) in Aguleri Otu by registering 20 beneficiaries.
The Hon. Commissioner for Power and water resources Engr Julius Chukwuemeka also received the merit award of the association for his consistent support and annual donation of cows and other gifts to the association.
The occasion was done at the palace of HRH Igwe Emmanuel Ejiofor of Enugu Otu Aguleri.
Dignitaries at the occasion include: High Chief Dominic Ndive (Nwatakwaka), Chief Emmanuel Chikelue Okadigbo,Chief Chike Onuorah (Akaeze Enugu otu) among others
