The commissioner for power and water resources, Engr. Julius M. Chukwuemeka yesterday celebrated the Christmas with eldest Men and Women from Aguleri 5 communities.
The Commissioner while speaking to the beneficiaries in the different communities made his sole intention very clear.
He said that the kind gesture which is in its second edition was borne out of his personal will to show love to the elderly ones.
Engr. Julius used the same opportunity to advice the young ones who accuse their aged parents of witchcraft to desist from such. He urged the youths to reciprocate the love, care and kindness given to them by their aged parents.
Recall that few months ago, the Commissioner dedicated his salary to over 40 Eldest men and women across Aguleri 5 communities.
The Commissioner met with Enugwu Aguleri Community Elders numbering over 30 at Ama Umuezeora where the cash sum of N100,000, tubers of yam and a live cow was given to them by the Commissioner as a Christmas package.
The Commissioner and his entourage drove to Eziagulu Otu, Enugwu Otu and Mkpunando Aguleri where they also met with the Eldest Men and women in their numbers with a cash sum of N100,000, a live cow and tubers of yam.
The family of late Hon. Augustine Bobby White who was a founding member of APGA in Enugwu Otu Ward was not left out as the Commissioner and his team also visited the bereaved family to console them for the irreparable loss.
The kindreds, community and the maternal home of the Commissioner also got their various Christmas packages of N100,000, a live cow and tubers of yam.
Spokespersons of the from the respective communities and groups prayed and thanked the Commissioner and wished him well in all his endeavors.
Mr Commissioner at his country home thanked the people that accompanied him to this humanitarian and life changing trip. He also reeled out some of his packages for the party faithfuls.
