Ivite Aguleri team extends its lead at the top of the Ijenoke Aguleri League to 4.9m hammering of relegation-threatened Igboezunu Ikenga, Enugwu and Eziagulu teams.
Prof Michael Obiefune and Cornelius Ndive's donation of N5m and 10k respectively secured a comfortable lead for Ivite, which has now scored a remarkable N5,010,000 in the first day of the competition, followed by Igboezunu team's N100,000 dropped by Barr. Francis Okeke.
Prof Obiefune's side has found its groove in first week to record win, with only Igboezunu Ikenga team able to stay within touching distance.
Pastor Jossy Akwuobi's men will aim to close the gap with the sum of N4.9m when it plays today, Sat December 2nd.
Meanwhile, Enugwu and Eziagulu lost more ground in the Ijenoke League title race after the first day as no player has made an attempt to score.
It's the 2nd day of the league and Ex Governor Obiano, Chief Amechi Akorah and Chief Primus Odili's Eziagulu side has failed to pick up any point, causing the team to fall zero point behind Igboezunu.
The Enugwu team of Hon Cato Ameke, Prince Okey Ekwuo, Chiadi Ezeomogo have not also recorded any score after 24 hours.
The Ikenga team are currently missing several key men, they need to include Ogbuevi Ikechukwu Akwuobi, Engr Okwanka, Prince Amechi Michael Omazu, Chubby Omazu, Ejimovo Michael, Chizoba Nnaluo, Egbemmili, Bishop Udeogwu, Onyebuchi Odikpo, John Ivenso, Chinedu Malcolm Anukwu, Eseli Aguleri, Fidelis Anukwu, Eseli Udo, John Ivenso and others.
It was disclosed to OMT reporters that the above mentioned players from Igboezunu are currently having a serious discussion at Blessed Igboezunu Ikenga forum on how to cancel Ivite Aguleri score before 12 noon today.
