OGENE IVITE KICK-STARTS SECOND PHASE OF PROJECT ‘LIGHT UP IVITE AGULERI’

By Dr Innocent Chidumebi Okonkwo.

The Chairman of Ogene Ivite Aguleri foundation, Prof Michael Obiefune has said all is set for the commencement of the second phase of solar light projects for villages in Ivite Aguleri Anambra State.

A statement made available to journalists through a telephone conversation disclosed that the second phase has started and will be completed before Christmas day.

“The project which is billed to cover an estimated 9 villages within the community has already cost the foundation about N50m which include installation of solar street lights and reconnection of the community back to the national grid after over 5 years without electricity.

The solar light project in Ivite Aguleri is making giant strides and gathering momentum towards completion.

This is in fulfillment of the Association's promises made before her annual community crowd funding known as "Ijenoke".  .

“An estimated 75 galvanised poles have been constructed and the solar lights ready to add to the earlier mounted 70 poles in some internal roads  of the community. The bulbs are 100 watts with a very high capacity with wide illumination.

The good people of Ivite Aguleri appreciate the OIF’s good gesture for lighting up their community including the ongoing palliative works across the internal roads of the community.
