PROFESSOR A.B.I. UDEDIBIE ATTRACTS $2,000 DONATION FOR REPAIR OF MKPUNANDO FLOOD DAMAGED SCHOOL

The Igbo Union of Washington state, USA, has donated the sum of $2,000 (two thousand US dollars) towards the renovation of Ngenejo Migrant Fisherman School, Mkpunando Aguleri, badly damaged by the ravaging flood of 2022. This was made possible by the efforts Professor A.B.I. Udedibie using his connection with some members of the Union.

Members of the Union decided last year after the floods to raise funds to assist some of the riverine Communities affected by the floods. Professor Udedibie got wind of it through his friends there asked the traditional Ruler of Mkpunando Aguleri, HRH Igwe Johnson Mbanefo, to make available to him pictures and videos of the School along with the bill of quantities for renovating it. This was done and dispatched to the Union for consideration.

The $2,000 approved by the union may not be adequate for full renovation of the School but it is a free donation that should be highly appreciated. It was released to Professor Udedibie based on the trust the Union has in him, believing that he would ensure that the decision is satisfactorily utilized.

Ogene Ivite and Ivite Aguleri Ruling Council very highly and strongly appreciate this wonderful show of love for our community by the Igbo Union of Washington State, USA, and pray and hope that our good Lord will continue to support and guide the members in thoughts and decisions. The patriotic efforts and actions of Professor Udedibie and HRH Igwe Johnson Mbanefo to get our community into this apparently very stiff competition are exceptional and highly commended.

Long live Ivite Aguleri
