Personnel of the Aguleri National Youth Association task force have arrested two suspected armed robbers identified as Nwa Aba and Udeoba.
It was gathered that they were notorious for robbing their victims at gunpoint and they were arrested following a tip-off by residents about robbery operations they constantly carry out along Odene bridge.
The Commander-General, ANYA task force , Mr Bomboi Iveanyi, said his men received a distress call from some Aguleri residents, who informed them that a notorious gang was dispossessing people of their possessions in Odene bridge.
He added that the vigilantes were quickly detailed to the scene and on sighting them, some of the suspects fled the scene, while Nwa Aba was arrested and he subsequently led them to arrest the second suspect, Udeoba.
ANYA president added that the two suspects had been handed over to the personnel of the Otuocha Police Station for investigation and prosecution.
Items recovered from them were mobile phones, 1 shotgun, 2 live ammunitions and tablets suspected to be hard drugs.
The PG added that there were two major arrests carried out last week, One involved drugs related offences with Five persons and another case of being in possession of pistol.
He added that the suspected drug leaders have been handed over to NDLEA in Awka.

2. Iveanyi Nneke
3. Nnamdi Chikeh Obudigwe according to him, they are notorious land grabbers who have graduated to kidnapping, armed robbery and other heinous crimes to and around Aguleri community.
It should be noted that a woman from Igbakwu, Mrs Uche was shot by armed robbers in Enugwu last week while sleeping in her house.
The ANYA task force also rescued one Mr Chukwudi Anekwe from Eziagulu Otu Aguleri from suspected kidnappers who trailed him to Dream Garden Aguleri Junction.
