The traditional ruler of Mkpunando Aguleri, HRH Igwe Johnson Onyeaka Mbanefo has warned indigenes on Thursday, against involvement in land grabbing as anyone caught would be made to account for their indiscretion within the ambit of law.
He gave the warning in a press conference, held at Igwe's palace yesterday.
The Traditional Ruler read the Riot Act to land grabbers and their profiteers stating that some stakeholders are said to be aiding their operations, insisting that Aguleri will deal decisively with anyone found guilty of abetting such crime.
Mbanefo noted that while Aguleri leadership continues to protect the interest of everybody, he however warned that they will not allow security situations in other communities, to have a place in Aguleri.
“From our analysis, the land grabbers are working majorly with some rich men who also sponsor them".

"We know the cost of land in Aguleri and we know that youths are not entitled to sell lands in a community. So, when you are buying land with peanut from unauthorized people, get ready to lose it"
Speaking further, Ezedioranma lauded Aguleri Town union President, Barr Rolex Ifeanyi Iloakasia and ANYA Task force for their cooperation, which has brought Aguleri to the point where other communities are asking why the community is stable security wise, and asked all the relevant stakeholders to give them support.
