The Mkpunando Aguleri community in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State is in a festive mood presently as her Ovala fiesta is scheduled for today, 6th March 2024 after the induction of Barr Peter Onwuzulike Madubuko as Ije Ewele Mkpunando Aguleri, Dr Innocent Chidumebi Okonkwo( Odogwu), Prince Hilary Anekwe Nwa Anekwe( Ibobo), George Udedibia ( Akuamia), Onyeka C Chukwuma ( Okaobuluzo) Nwachinelu Emeka (Nwachinelu), Alex Madukasi, Prof Udedibie, Dr Fidelis Ndigwe ( Ochudo) and others.
The occasion came with the display of the rich cultural heritage of the community and the hosting of many eminent personalities.
Barr. Madubuko, also known as Ajilija is a lawyer and and Estate developer in Lagos Island. While Prince Hilary Anekwe Nwa Anekwe is the CEO of P&H Nova procurement limited. Dr Innocent Chidumebi Okonkwo is the publisher of OMT news while Dr Fidelis Ndigwe is a lecturer and a former HOD in the department of theatre Art of Chukwuemeka Odum egwu Ojukwu University Igbariam.
Having fulfilled all the stipulated requirements for the recognition, the new chiefs were conferred with the Chieftaincy titles by the traditional ruler, Igwe Sir Johnson Onyeaka Mbanefo JP, Ezedioranma.
The Ovala fiesta of Mkpunando Aguleri will hold this afternoon at Colonel Mike Atah school field Mkpunando Aguleri amidst where the new chiefs will parade with the traditional ruler and old cabinet members of the community who gave their full nod for their induction.
The Chiefs: Dr Innocent Chidumebi Okonkwo, Prince Hilary Anekwe Nwa Anekwe and Dr Fidelis Ndigwe will host friends and well wishers at Okpala hall Ivite Aguleri around 3 pm to celebrate their new titles.
