Amidst a surge in insecurity in Anambra State, an indigene of Aguleri has been seized by unidentified gun men yesterday.
The man identified as Mr Franklin Obidi Okechukwu Chidubem from Eziagulu Otu Aguleri in Anambra East local government Area of Anambra State was kidnapped along Umuekete Aguleri-Ikem Nando road, yesterday being 15th May 2024.
OMT gathered that he was driving on the road heading to Ayamelum local government when the attackers came out from the bush and abducted him.
Obidi was driving a white Lexus SUV with registration no. AGL 03 JF when gunmen intercepted his vehicle.
Unfortunately, the gunmen made away with him, while his vehicle was abandoned in the lonely Aguleri- Ayamelum road.
The development came less than 7 months after dislodging unknown gum men camps in Anam, Anambra west by a combined team of police and vigilante groups from Aguleri and Anam communities.
