Many prominent Nigerians last Saturday bid farewell to Mr Peter Iloakasia, brother of the Aguleri President General, Barr. Rolex Ifeanyi Iloakasia at Abor Ivite in Aguleri Anambra East local government Area of Anambra State.
The dignitaries include traditional ruler of Aguleri HRM Eze Mike Idigo( Ezeudo Aguleri), HRH Igwe Johnson Onyeaka Mbanefo (Ezedioranma Mkpunando Aguleri), HRH Igwe Lawrence Nwofia (Igwe Ochi agha Eziagulu Otu Aguleri) the CEO of Laluna Hotels and suites Awka, the provost of Nwafor Orizu college of education, President General of town unions, Aguleri youth Association president, business men, staff of Nwafor Orizu college of education Nsugbe where he was serving as the Bursar until his death.
According to the Chancellor of Aguleri Catholic Diocese, Rev. Fr. Acho, who delivered a sermon during the burial.
“We are here to celebrate the life and times of late Peter Edoziuno Iloakasia. The array of personalities here is an indication that he brought up and nurtured the aspirations of so many children,” .
The priest noted that the late Iloakasia’s reward as a teacher came not just through his family members, but through so many notable Nigerians who came to Aguleri to sympathize with the bereaved family and also described the deceased as a humble teacher.“He could not have imagined that an array of personalities would come here to honour him. According to the book of Proverbs 14:23, ‘In all labour, there is profit.”
Responding, Barr Rolex Ifeanyi Iloakasia said the family of Iloakasia as well as the entire Agulerians were humbled by the large turnout of high-profile dignitaries in his community to bid his brother farewell.
“We are indeed overwhelmed. There can be no love more than that. I would not have thought even in the wildest of my imaginations that there would be a large number of high-profile Nigerians here to celebrate my brother.”
Rolex, who described his brother as a disciplinarian, noted that he impacted positively on all who crossed his path and they all shared his positive attributes.
Other dignitaries who graced the event were: the CEO of Prince and Nova procurement services, Prince Hilary Anekwe Nwa Anekwe, captains of industry, as well as clerics, were also present.
