ROLEX DID NOT IMPOSE ANYONE. ALLOW HIM REST IN PEACE” – IVITE RULING COUNCIL SLAMS DR. NNANA'S CLAIMS.

The Ivite Ruling Council has dismissed as “unfounded, unfair and unacceptable” allegations linking the late Barrister Ifeanyi Iloakasia aka “Rolex” to the Mgboko village executive election, and urged Dr. Samuel Nnanna to “allow the dead to rest in peace.

In a June 26, 2026 letter from Okpala Hall, the Council said the late former President-General did not vote, nor did he impose any candidate on Mgboko. It stated his role was strictly that of an electoral umpire under the Aguleri Constitution, and that Mgboko members alone determined the outcome.

The Council’s intervention follows a similar demand by Mrs. Adaobi Iloakasia Esq., the widow, for a written withdrawal of the claims.

Dr. Nnanna had earlier petitioned the Ministry of Local Government, alleging constitutional breaches in the election. He is yet to respond.

As the dispute continues, the Council’s final appeal was clear: Barr. Rolex served Aguleri with honor. Nnana should let him rest in peace.
