Mrs. Adaobi Iloakasia Esq., widow of the late Barr. Ifeanyi Iloakasia aka “Rolex”, has demanded a written withdrawal of allegations that her late husband rigged the Mgboko Welfare Association election and has threatened legal action if the claim is not retracted.
In a letter dated June 24, 2026 addressed to Dr. Samuel Nnana Esq., General Secretary of Odimma Mgboko Initiative, Mrs. Iloakasia described as “false and unsupported by evidence” a petition submitted to the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters. Paragraph 2 of the petition accused the late Barr. Rolex, former President General of Aguleri Community Assembly, of jettisoning the Mgboko Welfare Association Constitution to fraudulently install the current executives.
Mrs. Iloakasia stated categorically that voting was conducted openly in the presence of all members, and that her late husband only intervened after three failed elections conducted by Dr. Nnana and his cohorts. She said peace was restored only after the election was duly conducted by the late PG in line with the association’s constitution.
She also questioned the timing of the allegation, noting that Dr. Nnana waited until after Barr. Rolex’s death to raise claims of rigging. “Given that the allegation is false and unsupported by evidence, I respectfully request that you withdraw the allegation against the late Barr. Ifeanyi Iloakasia (Rolex) in writing,” she wrote.
The widow warned that failure to withdraw the allegation would compel her to seek redress through appropriate channels to protect her late husband’s reputation and clear his name.
The letter was copied to Ogene Ivite, Ivite Ruling Council, Aguleri World Forum, and Aguleri Community Assembly.
Dr. Nnana had earlier petitioned the Commissioner, alleging that the electoral committee headed by the late PG surreptitiously abandoned the constitution to rig in the current Mgboko Welfare Association Executive.
Separately, the two principal bodies of Ivite Aguleri, Ogene Ivite Foundation and Ivite Ruling Council, have resolved to drag Dr. Nnana before Obugad if he fails to apologize and retract his statement.
As of press time, Dr. Nnana had not responded to Mrs. Iloakasia’s demand.
