Aguleri Council of Elders Warns Odimma Mgboko Initiative Over Petition Against Late Rolex*

The Council of Elders, Aguleri, sitting at Obugad on Friday 15th September 2026, has delivered judgment in the dispute between Barr  Mrs. Iloakasia Adaobi and Barr. Samuel Nnanna.

In its decision, the Council held that the entire members of Odinma Mgboko Initiative (OMI) erred and not Barr Nnana alone.

The Council ruled that if any liability arises, it attaches to the OMI as an association.

The Council, however, strongly condemned the conduct of the Odinma Mgboko Initiative for petitioning a deceased person who served Aguleri in the capacity of President General. It held that any petition ought to have been brought against the deceased in his lifetime and not after his demise, noting that such posthumous action suggests either fear of the deceased while alive or an ulterior motive.

Consequently, the Council issued a stern warning to members of the OMI to desist from further harassment and to allow Mrs. Iloakasia and her children to live in peace.

The judgment was accepted by both parties. Reacting, Barr. Nnanna accepted the verdict of the Council, albeit reluctantly, stating: _"Who am I to reject what the elders of our land said, if not..."_

On her part, Mrs. Iloakasia expressed profound gratitude to the Council for the judgment in her favour and prayed for God's continued blessings upon the elders of Aguleri.

The decision, dated 14th September 2026, was reported by Chetauya B.C., Chairman of the Ivite Ruling Council, for the Council.
